Save the Date!
The Perseid, a meteor shower that was first witnessed almost 1,000 years ago, makes its grand entrance in August, and peaks on August 12th -- the first night of our Colorado trip and the night we'll be camping in Zion! The show starts at 9 p.m. and goes 'til dawn. At peak times, you might see as many as 15 - 20 meteors per hour. Locate the constelation Perseus in the sky -- that's the area of the sky where the shower originates.
